Conceptual Electronics design

We can help you with the conceptual design and a Proof of Concept (POC) for your electronic product, where an idea is analyzed for feasibility.
We analyse the feasibility using calculations and simulations.
We then draw up a research document that incorporates all relevant results. The results of the pre-study phase can be used to draw up the requirements and later the specifications of the product. Estimates are also added here for production and NRE costs.

Requirements and specifications

Determining the critical success factors of a product is a major challenge.
We have extensive experience in drawing up the requirements of a product and recording the specifications. Clearly formulating the “what question” is important for successful product development.
It ensures that client and developer are completely on the same page before starting.
This is crucial to reduce NRE costs where possible and to ensure quality and planning.

During the design phase, the design of the product is made based on the agreed requirements. We split the design into subblocks. For each subblock, we make the design based on the requirements. During qualification, these requirements are used to check whether the block meets the requirements. We design according to the principle of ‘first time right’. We get it right the first time: don’t design an iterative protoboard. This reduces costs and improves the quality of the design. We calculate the worst-case situation for each circuit and run simulations where necessary. We record all results in an engineering design document and discuss it with the project team and the client.

Test and validation (qualification phase)

During the test and validation (qualification) phase, we test and measure the product. We have measuring equipment available in the ESD safe lab to fully validate the product. We can help you with the full qualification (electrical, thermal, safety and EMC). Before we start with the qualification, we make a document with the qualification procedures. This document describes all the steps of the qualification phase. We will take the actual measurements when the product is available in the lab. All results are processed in the document. We can then review these results with the project team and the client.

Maintenance and support

During the lifecycle of the product, we can help you with the lifecycle maintenance challenges. For example, if components become obsolete. Then we can make a solution by offering the following, among other things:

In addition, we have tooling to make EOL predictions, so we limit the amount of EOL components.
